District Jhansi has an adorable history of District Judges. In the initial period the District Judge was Sri H. J. Bell (1913-1923) and some of the District Judges here in Jhansi belonged to the then prestigious cadre of Indian Civil Services. First Indian I.C.S. Judge was Sri R. L. Srivastava during the period 1933-1934. Further, it is also relevant to mention that several District Judges were also elevated to Hon'ble High Court, Allahabad.
