Before 1956 Bijnor and Nagina used to be outline courts of Moradabad Judgeship. Bijnor Judgeship was constituted by Govt. Order no. 8122/vii-678/52 on 18-06-1956 and two courts were temporarily constituted by this Govt. Order, One of District & Sessions Court and other of Civil Judge. On constitution of judgeship the then temporary Munsif Court stopped working and merged with court of Civil Judge. Temporary courts constituted by G.O. No. 8122/vii-678/52 were converted into permanent courts vide Govt. Order no. 1578/vii-6785/52 dated 14-07-1958 w.e.f 01-04-1958. The first District Judge of Bijnor was Mr. R.C.
