District Court - Shajapur

Under the policy of MP government order of the District Judge in every district of Madhya Pradesh Government, the District Judge was appointed in Shajapur on 12-04-1975 and Shri K.D. Dighe was appointed as the first District Judge in all the courts located in the fort earlier. Due to lack of space and the building was dilapidated, a new building of the court building was constructed near the Collectorate building and the present District Court and other subordinate courts started functioning from the new building Lalghati from 04-05-1997. Presently the District Court Apart from the headquarters Shajapur, under Shajapur there are a total of four tehsil courts namely Shujalpur, Agar, Susner and Nalkheda.
