District Court - Kamrup
The newly opened court building in Kamrup district is situated at Amingaon. The historic place of Amingaon is situated near the bank of river Brahmaputra, where the famous battle of Saraighat took place between the ‘Ahom and the Moghals’, in the year 1671. The tiny industrial town i.e. Amingaon is separated from the city of Guwahati by river Brahmaputra. Amingaon is the Head quarter of the Kamrup district and was separated in the year 2009. The Kamrup (Metro) district is having its Head quarter at Guwahati. On 19th February, 2014, Hon’ble Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court Mr. Abhay Manohar Sapre opened the newly established Judicial court at Amingaon.
